In spring 2007, I went to Austin to write an article about the Meat Puppets getting back together. I used the opportunity to explore the Central Texas Hill Country and eat tons of barbecue. What beautiful country.
My dad’s side of the family lived in north Texas and southeastern Oklahoma, so it was a thrill to finally see a bit of the region. I couldn’t stop photographing everything.
